About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Bid Manager to join a well-established main contractor at their head office in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing high-profile projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, education, and healthcare. As a Bid Manager, you will lead and coordinate the bid process, ensuring timely, high-quality, and compelling submissions. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, your work will directly impact the business’s growth and project pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end bid process, from opportunity identification to final submission
  • Develop and maintain bid programmes and deliverables schedules
  • Liaise with estimators, planners, designers, and operational teams to develop comprehensive bid responses
  • Write, edit, and review technical and non-technical content for PQQs and tenders
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and internal governance procedures
  • Manage bid presentations and post-tender clarification processes
  • Conduct bid debriefs and support continuous improvement of the bidding function

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Bid Manager role, ideally within the construction or built environment sector
  • Strong understanding of bid/tender processes within a main contractor environment
  • Excellent communication skills
