We are recruiting a Hardware Break Fix Data Centre Engineer to join a busy DCE team. The role will primarily involve providing server hardware support across a multi-vendor environment, mainly HPE & Dell servers.
You will also be involved in Data Centre facility activities such as but not limited to IMAC/D (Install, Move And Change, decommissioning) work, escorting external resources, requesting access, goods in/out.
Responsibilities- Hardware installations, maintenance, and repairs on customer equipment.
- Build strong customer relationships and manage complex customer problems.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met.
- Handle customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately.
- Ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, escalating when required and updating customers until the call is resolved and closed.
- Communicate at all levels both written and verbal.
- Display calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Good level of hardware Break Fix experience.
- Good knowledge of HPE Proliant & Dell Servers.
- Experience of other DC environment tasks such as patch cabling.
- Good knowledge of Service Now (SNOW).
- Sound knowledge of ESD working practice.
- Sound knowledge of general Health & Safety.
The team provides support cover 24/7 365 based on 12hr shifts – shift allowance, plus plenty of opportunity for overtime work. We are looking for all levels of engineer from 2-10+ years DC Engineering experience. Client vendor based training programmes are available to upskill in any gaps as long as you have core DC support experience.
