We are recruiting for a V&V Engineer (x4) to work on contract for a leading Defence organisation based in either their Stevenage or Bristol offices.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the verification and validation activities on Real Time systems application software for the next generation of Defence Systems.
- The role requires taking requirements, developing them into robust test cases, preparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedback to project teams.
- You will have to draw upon your strong practical problem-solving skills, data acquisition expertise, and adaptability.
Requirements:
- Strong experience of V&V activities in an Embedded software environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Good documentation skills.
- Ability to turn requirements into structured test cases and procedures.
- Experience of working in a lab environment on an electro mechanical product running Embedded software.
- Good working knowledge of the complete software engineering lifecycle.
- Scripting abilities.
- Embedded software development experience using C/C++ (ADA would be beneficial).
- Software development in an integrated environment.
- Preferable from a Defence/Aerospace background but can be open to other industries (heavily regulated; medical, automotive, nuclear etc.).
