We are recruiting for a Stores Person for a leading IT service provider based on site in Wakefield.
About the Role
We are looking for a Stores person to assist with BAU and Project work.
The role involves managing inbound and outbound stock deliveries, unboxing equipment for the engineering team to check, reboxing equipment for delivery, updating systems, and liaising with delivery companies and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and check incoming goods for correct quantities and damage.
- Label and store stock in allocated areas.
- Prepare, pack, and load goods for outbound collection and delivery.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe warehouse environment.
- Keep accurate logs of all damaged or returned items.
- Update internal systems and coordinate with logistics partners.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when processing personal or company data.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Skills
- Proven background in stores, stock, or inventory control.
- Strong computer literacy and system knowledge.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- A valid forklift licence is highly desirable, though not mandatory.
