Base pay range We are recruiting for a Senior Export Contract Manager for a leading Defence organisation based in Stevenage. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on site, 2 days WFH. The role involves some travel within the UK and Europe. Ideally, you will have current SC Clearance; if not, you must be eligible to obtain it. A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Programmes Export Operations Directorate for an experienced Export Contract Manager. Reporting to the Export Contract Management UK Executive, the successful candidate will demonstrate a broad set of commercial, financial, and project management skills to lead and deliver complex export contracts. The role involves: Leading the commercial interface with international government and military customers for contract delivery. Handling multiple cross-domain and geographically diverse contracts. Ensuring contract schedules are met to maintain high customer satisfaction and strong relationships. Proactively resolving delivery issues through risk and opportunity management. Leading customer acceptance events, transport solutions, and contractual payments. Communicating effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams. Negotiating contract amendments and supporting sales and business development. Collaborating with national companies in France, Spain, and Italy on export contracts. Requirements include: Leadership, influencing, and relationship management skills. Ability to operate in complex political environments. Experience managing contract delivery in international settings. Self-motivation and teamwork skills. Effective communication and leadership style. People management experience.
