Join a leading UK bank on a remote contract supporting critical mainframe systems. We’re looking for a hands-on z/OS Systems Programmer to maintain, upgrade, and optimise a complex enterprise environment.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting and upgrading z/OS and core mainframe tooling
  • Managing IBM & CA (Broadcom) products
  • Handling production issues & system improvements
  • Supporting deployments, testing, and configuration
  • Joining an on-call rota for out-of-hours changes

To apply you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong mainframe systems programming background
  • Experience with: z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL
  • IBM & CA product knowledge
  • Excellent troubleshooting + communication skills
  • Experience in regulated environments (ideally banking/FS)

Nice to haves:

  • Assembler, REXX, GDPS, automation, Top Secret, Omegamon / RMF / SMF / SAS

Inside IR35 PAYE (no umbrella fees of employers NI deductions) - Fully Remote (must be UK based) - Immediate start preferred.
