We are recruiting for a Project Management Support Professional (Manufacturing Engineering) for a leading Aerospace organisation based on site in Broughton.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Project Management Support specialist to join our Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team.

In this role, you will be the administrative and operational backbone for our industrial facility launch.

You will directly support the launch of industrial systems, manage the operational tooling Cap Ex pipeline, track quality actions (PFMEA), and ensure seamless reporting to ME leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. System Launch Support
  • System Coordination: Provide dedicated project support for the launch of the industrial system.
  • NC Coordination: Log, track, and drive resolution for Non-Conformances (NCs) identified during equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Snag List Management: Own the master snag list; collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure all defects are closed out prior to sign-off.
  • Technical Documentation: Manage, organize, and archive all system-specific documentation, manuals, and validation certificates.
  • 1. Tooling, CAPEX & Supplier Management
  • Financial Workflows: Prepare Capital Expenditure (Cap Ex) requests, process invoices, and manage Goods Receipts (GRs) for Equipping Operational Tooling.
  • Change Management: Raise Change Proposals (CPs) and actively manage the end-to-end processing of Change Proposals with external suppliers.
  • Budget Tracking: Monitor tooling expenditures against the allocated budget to prevent overruns during the critical launch phase.
  • 1. Risk Mitigation & Quality Coordination
  • PFMEA Actions

Tracking: Coordinate and drive action items resulting from Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) sessions, ensuring ownership and timely closure by the engineering team.

  • Escalation Management: Highlight lagging quality or engineering actions that pose a risk to the launch timeline,
  • 1. ME Reporting & Documentation Management
  • Dashboards & KPIs: Own the weekly and monthly progress reporting framework for the Manufacturing Engineering department.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Structure and document regular review meetings, capturing clear action items and maintaining accountability across cross-functional teams.

Skills Required

  • Experience: 2–4 years of project coordination experience within a heavy industrial, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing environment ideally during a facility launch or major line equipping phase.
  • Financial & Procurement Experience: Direct experience handling Cap Ex requests, Purchase Orders, Invoicing, and Goods Receipts (GRs).
  • Technical Literacy: Familiarity with manufacturing quality tools, specifically PFMEA tracking, Non-Conformance (NC) management, and snag list resolution.
  • Supplier Coordination: Proven experience managing Change Proposals (CPs) and timelines with third-party machinery/tooling suppliers.
  • Tools: Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or Excel) and document control platforms.

Preferred

  • Experience working with specific proprietary industrial systems (e. g., CIPS or equivalent manufacturing execution/equipping frameworks).
  • A background that blends technical engineering understanding with strong financial/administrative discipline.
  • This is an umbrella contract, the role is Inside IR35
