We’re looking for a talented SEO Executive who thrives on delivering results and loves the challenge of improving organic search performance. If you’re someone who gets excited by data insights, enjoys building genuine client relationships, and takes real pride in creating strategies that make a tangible difference, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll be working with independent car dealers across the UK, helping them transform their digital presence and grow their businesses. Your expertise in SEO will directly contribute to dealers being found by more of the right customers, ranking above their local competitors, and maximising their profitability. It’s rewarding work with real-world impact – and we have ambitious plans for growth that we’d love you to be part of.
What a typical week looks like:
- You’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional client work across organic search, from technical SEO through to on-page and off-page strategy.
- This is a role where your strategic thinking directly impacts client success – you’ll build strong relationships by understanding their unique needs, working hard to retain clients, and creating data-driven strategies that deliver real, measurable results.
- Every day, you’ll carry out keyword research, on-page optimisation and technical SEO audits – managing site health, crawlability and indexation across a varied client portfolio.
- You’ll develop content and link-building strategies, work with local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation, and use tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs or SEMrush to track rankings, identify opportunities and diagnose issues.
- You’ll support keyword and content strategies aligned to key sales priorities, and dive deep into performance data, turning it into clear insights and recommendations that keep clients ahead of the curve.
- You’ll manage client expectations and KPIs with a commercial mindset, ensuring every recommendation drives value.
- Working alongside a junior executive, you’ll share your expertise and help develop their skills whilst maintaining excellent client communication.
- You’ll also collaborate with the wider business – working with marketing and web colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve site performance.
- You’ll stay up to date with algorithm updates, industry trends and best practices in SEO along the way.
About You:
- At least 2 years’ experience managing SEO campaigns, ideally in a B2C or SaaS environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of technical, on-page and off-page SEO.
- Working knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar.
- Experience running local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation.
- Confident analysing organic performance metrics and rankings data.
- Experience with content strategy, keyword research and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer service and building client relationships.
What will help you succeed in this role:
- Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable managing multiple client accounts at once.
- A motivated individual who is ambitious and curious, with a desire to bring new ideas.
- Able to work independently as well as being a team player.
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Confident in making decisions.
- Confident and professional on the phone.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry (beneficial).
- Able to travel into our Stoke-on-Trent office regularly, particularly during the first few months as you settle into the role.
Why work for Click Dealer?
- Flexible working environment – whether you prefer being in our office or would rather work predominantly at home, we can support flexible working arrangements.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service level.
- Medical plan, including an Employee Assistance Programme.
- Training & Development – we want to support our Clickers with growth and upskilling.
