The Martech Expert (MTE) is a mid-level role responsible for delivering technical solutions for clients, leading medium-sized projects, and acting as a trusted advisor for marketing automation initiatives. The MTE will be expected to leverage a strong technical skillset, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide guidance on best practices. Additionally, the MTE will support Project Managers and work closely with other teams to ensure a seamless technical delivery to clients.
You will take a proactive role in client interactions, supporting and occasionally leading on client calls, explaining technical solutions clearly, and offering advice on how to achieve their marketing automation goals. You will be a key technical point of contact for clients and will work with project managers and other teams across the business to deliver solutions that meet the clients' needs. You will also focus on continuous self-improvement, developing expertise through certifications and self-directed learning to stay ahead of industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of platforms such as Marketo, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and other related marketing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the technical execution of Martech solutions and initiatives across a variety of marketing automation platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo and Pardot.
- Act as a technical consultant, advising clients on best practices, platform capabilities, and tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Support Project Managers by addressing client queries, explaining technical solutions in clear, non-technical terms, and occasionally leading client calls to guide discussions and decisions around technical aspects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to marketing automation systems, integrations, and platform-specific scripting.
- Assist in mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation, suggesting new ways to improve the client experience and internal efficiency.
- Ownership of medium-sized projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Working knowledge of at least one marketing automation platform, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement or Account Engagement, Marketo Engage or others.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients in an approachable manner.
- Ability to manage client relationships, effectively resolve technical queries, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project teams.
- Experience leading technical projects within a Martech environment, such as leading the implementation of a new platform or solving complex technical integration issues.
- Programming skills: Experience with Python, SQL, or R for data analysis, reporting, or automation within the marketing technology landscape.
- AI/Automation Experience: Familiarity with AI-powered tools in the Martech space, or experience in implementing AI-based automation within marketing strategies.
- Consultancy experience: Experience working in a consultancy environment, delivering tailored solutions for clients, and managing relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with CRM platforms: Familiarity with customer relationship management systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and their integration with marketing automation tools.
