Role Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Cleverly, you will design, develop, and maintain back-end services that power our operating system for real estate and facilities management.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into robust, scalable software solutions, and will participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system optimization.
Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, improving existing workflows, integrating third-party systems, and ensuring high reliability and performance of our platform.
This is a full-time, on-site/hybrid role based in Greater London, where you will mentor team members, contribute to technical standards, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the product.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building production-grade systems and debugging complex issues.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with APIs, databases, and scalable server-side architectures.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to design clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Experience with modern back-end technologies and frameworks (Node. js), Postgres databases, and cloud platforms.
- Comfort working in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in code reviews and architecture design.
- Ability to work on-site in Greater London and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; experience in workflow automation products is a plus
