An exciting opportunity has arisen for a GP Locum to work within Holgate PCN’s Urgent Care Hub supporting our 3 PCN Practices with a population of 45,000 patients. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and will contribute to our provision of high quality, patient‑centred care.
Schedule: Up to 5 sessions per week for 6 months to cover maternity leave.
Location: Linthorpe Surgery, 1 Trinity Mews, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, TS5 6HA
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat predominantly acute, same‑day presentations.
- Work closely with the Urgent Care Hub team of advanced nurse practitioners, advanced paediatric practitioner and paramedic.
- Provide support to the current GP team and ensure continuity of care during the maternity cover.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
- Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
- General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
- On or eligible to be on a medical performers list.
- Enhanced CRB check.
- UK driving licence.
- Current CPR certificate.
- UK work permit (if required).
Organisation Overview: Holgate Primary Care Network (PCN) consists of Linthorpe Surgery, Borough Road, and Nunthorpe Medical Group & Village Medical Centre. Two of our practices are well established training practices with excellent GP support. The PCN team includes a variety of roles such as mental health practitioners, physiotherapists, care home practitioners, social prescribers and safeguarding lead, supported by a management and care coordinator team.
