Are you an experienced investigator looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in your community? Cleveland Police is seeking dedicated and professional Police Staff Investigators (PIP Level 2) to join two specialist investigative teams. These roles offer the chance to work within highly rewarding areas of policing, supporting victims, progressing complex investigations, and helping deliver justice across Cleveland.

Roles

  • Protecting Vulnerable People Team – Investigate serious and sensitive crimes such as rape, familial child abuse, child sexual exploitation, and offences involving vulnerable adults. Work closely with victims, witnesses, and partner agencies to safeguard those at risk and support justice delivery.
  • Historical Investigation Unit – 12‑month fixed term. Support complex investigations into historic offences, progress sensitive enquiries, engage with victims and witnesses, and conduct investigations professionally, ethically, and with a victim‑focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills

  • Strong decision‑making and organisational abilities
