A permanent position may be available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme. This role will include full training and will work toward covering the following duties:
- Deal with all hire desk processes including queries, order processing, and scheduling.
- Work closely as a team to maximise potential sales opportunities while ensuring that all hire contract administration is accurate and completed to set timescales.
- Develop close customer working relationships with both new clients and existing customers to ensure we receive new enquiries and repeat orders.
- Identify new sales opportunities.
- Promote the full portfolio of products and services the company offers.
- Contribute to the growth of the business by being involved in the development of new strategies and ideas.
- Provide the customer with appropriate levels of support.
- Ensure haulage is sourced and booked to deliver/collect equipment effectively and safely to meet customer needs.
- Use IT including Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Organise meetings including multi-progress meetings, safety committees, and others.
- Take minutes at meetings.
- Engage in project-based work.
- Delegate work to other members of the office.
- Coach colleagues.
- Perform logistical work.
- Handle finance-related tasks.
- Make and receive phone calls.
- Write and respond to emails.
- Address any customer concerns or complaints.
- Perform other duties as required.
This apprenticeship will include a day release once a week at Middlesbrough College. Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm or 8.00am - 4.30pm.
