They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and proven experience in contract management within the Construction, Plumbing, or HVAC industries.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing Mechanical Projects from start to finish, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget. The role requires strong leadership skills and technical expertise to deliver high-quality mechanical services. You will also act as the key liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless project delivery and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:- To comply fully with all company Health and Safety rules, Health & Safety/Environmental policies, method statements and safe systems of work, including those stipulated by third parties (e.g., customers, contractor sites).
- To develop a personal concern for health, safety & environmental factors for themselves and others.
- To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
- Manage multiple mechanical contracts, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, site managers, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate contracts and manage contractual obligations effectively.
- Mechanical engineering background with experience in HVAC, plumbing, or related fields.
- Recognised mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or higher, HNC/HND, or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services).
- Proven experience in a similar Contracts Manager role within the construction or mechanical services industry.
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Monday and MS Office Suite (training on Monday can be provided).
Base salary of GBP70,000.
