Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to join our Day Case team, with a competitive salary range on offer, up to £32,960 depending upon experience.
This is a weekday role with the following shift patterns:
Monday to Friday – 06:30 – 14:30
This role will work closely with the Day Case team in carrying out all relevant forms of care and ensuring patient documentation and safety measures are carried out in accordance with CCL guidelines.
The post holder will undertake administrative duties such as scheduling and managing bookings in conjunction with the clinical team and central reservations.

The 21-bedded with en-site Day Case Unit supports the care of patients requiring outpatients intravenous infusions, same day operations and diagnostic procedures. The Ward Clerk will support the Pre-Assessment team that assesses patients that will be undergoing surgery for Neuro/Spine, Vascular, Orthopaedics, Upper/Lower GI, Urology, Head & Neck, ENT, Gynaecology, General, and Plastics.
What will your duties include?
Contact patients that have been booked for a surgery/procedure with a case request to facilitate booking of pre-assessment appointment/testing.
Complete triage questionnaire with all patients to determine type of pre-assessment appointment needed.
Perform administrative duties such as filing, reviewing emails, scanning, photocopying, letter writing and dealing with telephone enquiries.
Liaise with consultant users and their secretaries regarding scheduling process to promote and market the Unit.

Previous administration experience
Previous experience within a healthcare setting (i.e. hospital),
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels and with a variety of different stakeholders.
Ability to build strong relationships and foster teamwork.
