Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit an Ortho Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our Theatres team, with a salary of up to £46,581.47 depending on experience. This is a Monday-Friday role with shifts falling between the hours of 07:30 and 20:30. The post-holder will also be required to work on-call.

We have eight state-of-the-art theatres covering our Surgical Institutes including a hybrid theatre, robotic theatre and Intraoperative MRI facilities. We cover many specialties including Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Spinal, Orthopaedic, Plastics, General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology. As a member of our state-of-the-art perioperative department, you will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe, effective, efficient care for patients and relatives.

What will your duties include?

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients on an ongoing basis, co-ordinating the care given by all members of the clinical team.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the care of any patients receiving treatment in the department.
  • Adhere to the NMC / HCPC Code of Professional Conduct at all times.
  • Manage the clinical workload effectively, ensuring care is prioritised appropriately.
  • Ensure that accurate records are maintained reflecting both changes in the patient’s condition and the treatment delivered.

What we need from you?

  • Suitable experience as an Ortho Scrub Practitioner required.
  • Nursing or ODP registration through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (First Level) (NMC) or Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) required.
  • Post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Scrub Practitioner required.
  • Evidence of full Occupational Health Clearance for Exposure Prone Procedures (EPP) (Essential).
