Job Summary
- Salary: Starting salary: ÂŁ27,007.50. After probation salary increases to ÂŁ28,500
- Hours: Monday to Friday, shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm. Saturday shifts also required on a rotational basis.
- Location: 33 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7HY (on-site only)
- Contract: Full time, permanent
What are we looking for?
You will be supported by the Registration/Admissions Senior, and be part of a dynamic patient-facing role committed to delivering a warm welcome to all outpatients on their arrival at Cleveland Clinic London. You will contribute to the delivery of an exceptional patient experience, ensuring all outpatients are fully registered on arrival. A varied and multi-faceted role, as well as providing patient information and answering any questions or queries our patients may have about any aspect of their visit, you will be responsible for the accurate collection and verification of all outstanding demographic and financial information, including insurance authorisations and/or payments. You should have a working knowledge of all types of outpatient scheduling across the various clinical areas of the hospital and will be an excellent communicator and adaptable team player who enjoys the challenges of delivering world class customer service in a busy hospital environment.
What will your duties include?
- Meet and greet all day cases, inpatients and visitors to Cleveland Clinic London
- Ensure any outstanding patient demographic and financial information is complete at the point of arrival
- Liaise with insurance companies and other third party payers as required to ensure relevant authorisation is in place
- Collect payments as required utilising Cleveland Clinic London’s integrated payment systems
- Complete the Administrative Admission process with the patient ensuring a patient/guarantor signature is obtained
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients
- Promote and encourage sign up to the CCL MyChart App to enable patients to manage their own healthcare information
- Communicate effectively with other relevant departments within the hospital to deliver a seamless patient journey in all cases
- Cross train across all areas of Patient Access
- Follow hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge
- Complete mandatory education and training in order to maintain organisation and department specific competencies and requirements
- Other duties as assigned
What we need from you?
- Relevant experience in a healthcare related setting and/or professional front desk service environment (essential)
- Experience of patient bookings via hospital computer software (preferred)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc (essential)
- Outstanding customer service, communication, confidentiality and interpersonal skills (essential)
- Proven ability to step outside comfort level, adapt to new challenges and assist the team (essential)
- Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently (essential)
