Job Summary

  • Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 (depending on experience)
  • Hours: Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am shifts (on-site only). Shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off.
  • Location: 33 Grosvenor Place, London SW1X 7HY but some travel to other sites required: 24 Portland Place, W1B 1LU and 55 Moorgate, EC2R 6BH
  • Contract: Permanent

What are we looking for?

To attend to and complete maintenance, carpentry and fabric tasks related to planned, reactive and minor project works across Cleveland Clinic London. This role will provide first line support for all reactive calls. The Fabric Technician will be responsible for helping to deliver reactive and planned maintenance works. As part of the role, there will also be core duties to escort sub-contractors, so that any tasks requiring specialist involvement can be undertaken within the parameters of the site requirements. It will be the Fabric Technician’s key responsibility to ensure that the work assigned to them via the helpdesk or Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, is undertaken within the SLA or updated swiftly if a contractor is required. The Fabric Technician will be accountable for the works assigned to them, and it is their duty to undertake all tasks using the mobile device correctly and in real time. The technician will also ensure that they adhere to all Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) including in line with assigned Risk Assessments and Method Statement provided by CCL. The role holder will be the first image of CCL and must always be an ambassador for CCL, through being well presented with great customer service and effective communication.

What will your duties include?

  • To attend and complete all assigned reactive tasks including fabric, buildings, locksmith, painting, decorating, gutter/gully clearing, handyman and basic plumbing works within their Service Level Agreements for Attendance, Response and Completion.
  • To provide support to the wider CCL engineering team when required.
  • To undertake any other duties as directed by Managers within the remit of the role.
  • To provide updates to the Helpdesk on a regular basis to ensure the CAFM System is up to date.
  • Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and working condition.
  • To ensure that CCL’s Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • To provide support to all CCL sites as and when required.
  • Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations.
  • Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions.
  • To work in line with the CCL Values and exceptional pillars.
  • To attend and complete minor project and fabric works on site.

What we need from you?

  • Ideally to hold a C&G NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (desirable).
  • C&G NVQ Level 3 (desirable).
  • CSCS or relevant Trade Card (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety processes (desirable).
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role e.g. building maintenance (essential).
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office or equivalent (desirable).
  • Previous experience of CAFM Systems (essential).
  • Healthcare and HTM experience advantageous (desirable).
