Job Summary
- Starting salary: £31,000 after probation rising to: £33,500
- Hours: Shifts allocated between Monday to Sunday on a Rota basis (early mornings, evenings, and nights)
- Location: Rotation between sites of 33 Grosvenor Place, London SW1X 7HY; 24 Portland Place, London W1B 1LU; and 55 Moorgate, London, EC2R 6BH
- Contract: Full-time, permanent
What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking Hospital Cleaning Supervisors to join our Environmental Services team. Reporting to the Deputy Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Supervisor supports the leadership and management of Cleveland Clinic London's (CCL) Environmental Services Operations.
What will your duties include?
- Guide the team and ensure departmental compliance with legal and regulatory standards such as CQC, Joint Commission, and other cleaning accreditations.
- Recruit, supervise, and manage team performance, including absence management, appraisals, and reviews.
- Develop and implement performance management plans for all team members.
- Maintain effective communication with direct reports and caregivers to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate training to uphold high standards of compliance.
- Mentor and support staff for continuous development.
- Participate in departmental projects across four Cleveland Clinic locations: Outpatient Centres, Main Hospital, and Office Building.
- Promote continuous improvement in health and safety, standards, and patient care quality.
- Ensure timely completion of Health & Safety (COSHH) documentation.
What we need from you?
- At least three years of experience as a team leader or supervisor in a related field.
- Previous experience in environmental services or housekeeping is highly preferred.
- Strong technological skills, including proficiency with systems such as Excel, Word, Visio, Microsoft Teams, Kronos, Workday, and Epic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
