What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Medicines Management Technician to join our Pharmacy team, with a salary up to £45,000.
This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week between Monday-Friday, with contribution to lates on a rota basis.

Reporting to the Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, the Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician will provide an exemplary pharmacy service in accordance with current legislation, accepted professional and ethical standards and clinical requirements. The post-holder will focus on medicines management for outpatient and inpatient service developments. You will work alongside the Clinical Pharmacists and other clinical teams to develop and implement the current medicines management strategies, as well as day to day support of these areas upon opening of the hospital.

What will your duties include?

  • Prioritize and obtain accurate medication histories as part of the pre-admission process.
  • Identify newly admitted patients to obtain/confirm an accurate medication history or to highlight to the ward pharmacist any existing patients who have had their prescribed medicines changed (added/stopped/dose adjustments/route change).
  • Facilitate in a timely fashion the supply of any non-stock medication for individual patients.
  • Attend regular discharge planning meetings to gather information on potential discharges.

What we need from you?

  • NVQ3 Pharmaceutical Sciences plus BTEC or equivalent (essential).
  • Pharmacy Technician registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) (essential).
  • Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician qualification (essential).
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy and of project related work in this environment (essential).
  • Educational supervisor qualification or working towards (desirable).
  • Accredited Checking Technician qualification (desirable).
