Job Summary

  • Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
  • Location: 40 Grosvenor Place, London, SW1X 7AW – Hybrid (3 days on site)
  • Contract: Permanent

What are we looking for?

The Business Development officer reports to a Business Development Manager and will partner with various teams across the organisation on various projects, including Head of Business Development/Head of Global Patient Services/Business Development Managers. This role will support the wider Business Development team, as well as developing commercial propositions and partnerships in defined portfolios that drive volume and revenue growth for Cleveland Clinic London. This includes ownership of overall engagement and planning of these groups. This role exists to grow our trauma & rehabilitation work, especially by building strong relationships with case managers, solicitors, and other stakeholders involved in active legal cases.

What will your duties include?

  • Leading and developing tactics focussed around key areas of sports and medicolegal including international audiences as required.
  • Supporting strategic business relationships, partnerships and networking opportunities with key entities.
  • Building and delivering sales presentations to decision makers and/or supports the wider delivery of CCL representatives to prospective clients.
  • Working in conjunction with events lead to develop an event schedule and support organisation of these events to support key portfolios.
  • Targeting and developing appropriate prospects for new business through networking and utilisation of basic sales/consultation skills.
  • Representing CCL at trade fairs, seminars and educational conferences where networking and marketing and/or business opportunities exist.
  • Supporting sports relationships.
  • Supporting CCL facility and tour schedules.
  • Supporting the head of Business Development and collaborate with the wider BD team on all key initiatives to drive growth for CCL.

What we need from you?

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience using a CRM/Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
  • Experience with the preparation and delivery of formal and informal presentations.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, prioritise workload and meet multiple and urgent deadlines.
  • Projects a cooperative, positive helping demeanour and is able to perform well under stressful conditions.
  • Able to relate to other health care workers and develop productive working relationships with peers and physicians and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience developing key accounts with corporate stakeholders (highly desirable).
  • Previous experience supporting trade fairs, networking events and similar business development activities (desirable).
  • Previous business development experience within sports, trauma and rehabilitation and active legal cases (highly desirable).
