Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Process Engineer at its Mansfield, Ohio facility.

This role is responsible for the providing engineering expertise in the planning and execution of technical projects within the Hot Strip.

The Process Engineer manages project and works closely with the department in the development and planning of capital projects.

  • Summary of Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the department to solve technical problems
  • Engineers’ major facilities and component parts and investigate field project assignments in developing a cost-effective solution to production
  • Develops, analyzes, prepares and executes technical projects
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality standards and cost
  • Collaborate with Quality for root cause analysis of quality issues
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, computer and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments while wearing required PPE.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in steelmaking or metals manufacturing.
  • Experience in a union environment.
