We are recruiting for experienced deveg operatives for works covering Sussex, Kent and into London.
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Shift Schedule: As required by the relevant contract you have been engaged to provide services for with Cleshar. This role may require you to work Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday days or nights with some weekend works.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work within the team in delivering works as per the client's programme
- Perform vegetation clearance including, cutting, pruning, felling, strimming and brushcutting
- Operate hand tools and power tools (Chainsaws, Hedge Trimmers, brushcutters) safely and effectively
- Assist with site preparation, access, clearance and environmental protection measures
- Follow site specific risk assessments, and safety rules at all times
- Load, handle and dispose of vegetation waste in accordance with environmental regulations
- Report hazards, incidents or near misses to Supervisors
- Maintain and inspect equipment/tools before and after use
Essential Qualifications:
- Chainsaw, Brushcutter, Strimmer, Hedge Trimmer - LANTRA or NPTC
- PTS and/or LU WSI
- Proven experience in vegetation clearance or landscaping work
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable with good teamwork and communication skills
- Full UK Driving licence
- First Aid at work - Desirable
- Manual Handling and Working at Height
