In this role you will be ensuring the students of Clervaux Garden School engage in learning and achieve by providing practical, experiential and therapeutic education through careful planning of the structure, methodology and delivery of the learning experience.
The Trust method: Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, ensures that the majority of the curriculum is delivered through the land, animals and craft. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers to engage students using our innovative curriculum.
You will lead on the cross-curriculum teaching to a class of students functioning at a primary education level. You will ensure that students develop basic skills in numeracy, literacy and in the Core Learning Skills, together with social skills and will provide opportunities for students to practice and develop these skills, assessing their progress in accordance with the School’s assessment schedule and Curriculum Policy.
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience of teaching within special educational needs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A practical approach to engaging students
