The Cumberland is an immersive dining experience inspired by the hit television series created by Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsay, Hell’s Kitchen (London). The restaurant blends theatrical flair with culinary excellence and exceptional service, pairing outstanding food and drink with world-class service.
As Sommelier, you will be the authority on wine within the restaurant – curating pairings, guiding guests through the list, and enhancing every meal with confidence and flair. You’ll work closely with the Restaurant General Manager, Head Chef and wider front-of-house team to deliver a seamless, refined and engaging experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver expert wine service and tailored recommendations to guests
- Curate thoughtful wine pairings to complement the Hell’s Kitchen menu
- Build strong relationships with guests, recognising regulars and VIPs
- Support the development and training of the front-of-house team in wine knowledge
- Manage wine stock, storage and presentation to the highest standards
- Work with suppliers to maintain a relevant, exciting and commercially sound wine list
- Ensure compliance with licensing, service and safety standards
What You’ll Bring

- Strong wine knowledge with relevant qualifications (WSET or equivalent desirable)
