We’re looking for a Compensation & Benefits Manager to lead the design, delivery and governance of our reward programmes across our hotel portfolio. What you’ll be doing
As Compensation & Benefits Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we reward and support our people. You’ll lead on compensation strategy, benefits management and reward governance, ensuring our programmes remain competitive, compliant and aligned to the needs of the business. Working closely with HR, Finance and operational leaders across the group, you’ll provide expert guidance and insight while continuously improving the colleague experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the company’s compensation framework, salary bands and job evaluation methodology
- Conduct regular market benchmarking using hospitality and industry salary data
- Lead annual pay review cycles, ensuring fairness, consistency and alignment with budgets
- Oversee incentive schemes including service charge distribution, bonus plans and performance-based rewards
Benefits Management
- Manage the full suite of employee benefits including pensions, healthcare, wellbeing programmes and hotel-specific benefits
- Build strong relationships with benefits providers, negotiating high-value and cost-effective offerings
- Monitor employee engagement and utilisation to continuously improve benefits programmes
- Support the development of initiatives that enhance the overall colleague experience
Policy, Compliance & Governance
- Own and maintain reward-related policies across the business
- Ensure compliance with UK statutory requirements including National Minimum Wage, pension regulations and holiday pay legislation
- Maintain strong governance and consistency across all hotel locations and functions
Stakeholder Partnership
- Advise HR Business Partners, General Managers and senior leaders on reward decisions and market positioning
- Support talent acquisition with competitive salary benchmarking and recommendations
- Lead communication of reward and benefits programmes across the business
- Build trusted relationships across multiple stakeholders, influencing with confidence and credibility
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong relationship-building skills - someone who is commercially aware, highly organised and passionate about creating fair and engaging reward programmes.
- Proven experience in compensation and benefits within hospitality, retail or another multi-site environment
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and/or HRIS reporting skills
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and reward compliance
- Experience managing benefits providers and negotiating contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
