The Role
As a Trial Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering psychological therapies or psychedelic-assisted treatments within clinical trials. You’ll receive comprehensive training and supervision to ensure the highest quality of therapy delivery in line with treatment manuals. Additionally, you’ll contribute to critical research processes, including maintaining accurate records and assisting with qualitative research initiatives.

What will the role entail?
- Deliver therapy/psychological support in accordance with clinical trial protocols and treatment manuals.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and detailed research records to support data collection and quality assurance.
- Participate in training sessions and regular clinical supervision to ensure consistent, high-standard therapy delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, nurses, and research staff, to ensure participant care and study success.
- Communicate complex clinical information clearly and sensitively to trial teams and other stakeholders.
- Support and guide trainees, students, and new staff members where required.
- Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with clinical trial regulations, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Undertake risk assessments and contribute to effective risk management for participants.
What do you need to succeed?
- Experience working in a clinical setting or supporting clinical trials.
- Strong communication skills and a highly organised approach to work.
- Proficiency in basic IT tools, including Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- Attention to detail, with a methodical, team-oriented mindset.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and retain information.
- A core professional healthcare qualification (e.g., psychologist, counsellor, therapist, nurse, or medical doctor).
- Registration with a professional healthcare regulatory body.
- Understanding of GCP guidelines and clinical research processes (desirable).
