Job Description

Who are we?

Clerkenwell Health is an innovative and leading Research Organisation specialising in the delivery of scientifically grounded Clinical Trials through its collaborative Contract Research Organisation (CRO), extensive Clinical Research Facility (CRF) network, and Therapy Development Programme.

We focus on supporting research in Mental Health and Central Nervous System (CNS) disorders, with a strong emphasis on psychedelic drug development.

The Role

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our Quality team. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting the smooth running of Clerkenwell Health’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Data Privacy (GDPR), and regulatory standards.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance within a dynamic and mission-driven clinical research environment, supporting both our CRO and CRF operations.

What will the role entail?

  • Supporting the scheduling of quality meetings, audits, and training sessions
  • Tracking quality incidents (QIs), corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs), and audit deliverables
  • Coordinating documentation preparation for audits and inspections
  • Maintaining organized, audit-ready document repositories and QMS records
  • Administering the lifecycle of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, forms, and templates
  • Generating quality metrics, KPIs, and summary reports for leadership
  • Preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes, and following up on action points
  • Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Supporting general QA-related administrative and coordination tasks as required

What will you need to succeed?

  • GCSEs including English and Maths (or equivalent experience)
  • Good IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work well within a team
  • Comfortable working flexibly to support audits or inspection readiness activities
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Formal training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Previous experience in administrative, quality assurance, or clinical research support roles
  • Understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements
