About Us

Clerkenwell Health is a pioneering mental health research organisation specialising in psychedelic-assisted therapy. We conduct innovative, scientifically grounded clinical trials through our integrated Contract Research Organisation (CRO), broad Clinical Research Facility (CRF) network, and Therapist Training Programme. We have also expanded our focus to the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, in addition to complex mental health conditions.

The Role

We are seeking a GMC-registered Physician to join our team on a flexible bank basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest in clinical research to contribute to cutting-edge studies, without the requirement for full-time commitment. The role involves on-site support for clinical trial activities, with highly flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments and ensure participant safety during clinical trials
  • Provide clinical oversight and support study protocols
  • Review medical histories, eligibility, and ongoing participant wellbeing
  • Collaborate with research staff to ensure high-quality study delivery
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation

Requirements

  • Full registration with the GMC (General Medical Council)
  • Medical degree with relevant clinical experience
  • Background or experience in Neurology, CNS, Psychiatry, or related fields
  • Strong interest in clinical research and innovation in mental health
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous experience in clinical research or clinical trials
  • GCP (Good Clinical Practice) training
