Who are we?

Clerkenwell Health is a pioneering mental health research organisation specialising in psychedelic-assisted therapy. We conduct innovative, scientifically grounded clinical trials through our integrated Contract Research Organisation (CRO), broad Clinical Research Facility (CRF) network, and Therapist Training Programme. We have also expanded our focus to the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, in addition to complex mental health conditions.

The Role

We’re looking for a Psychiatric Nurse/ Junior Research Therapist to join our growing therapy team at Clerkenwell Health. You’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality psychedelic-assisted therapies across a range of cutting-edge clinical trials. Working closely with senior therapists, clinical staff, and trial teams, you’ll contribute to the safe and effective delivery of care and psychological support within an innovative clinical research setting.

You will receive dedicated training and supervision while gaining hands-on experience in the implementation of clinical trial protocols, therapeutic delivery, and clinical research processes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mental health, who brings clinical expertise and a commitment to learning in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver therapy and psychological support in line with trial protocols and treatment manuals, including dosing sessions.
  • Conduct and document clinical assessments, maintaining accurate notes and participant records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care and protocol compliance.
  • Engage in training, supervision, and reflective practice to support professional growth.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Registered mental health professional with psychiatric patient experience and a genuine interest in psychedelic-assisted therapy.
  • Comfortable screening patients, coordinating randomisation, attending/leading dosing sessions, and completing validated clinical ratings per protocol.
  • Strong collaborator able to work within a multidisciplinary team (therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses).
  • Clinically grounded, follows a manualised framework; open to site-provided training (prior psychedelic training is fine but must not override the study manual).
  • Reliable, organised, and able to commit to the study schedule across two initial trials.
  • Experience in psychedelic therapy, mental health treatment, or working in a clinical mental health setting would be advantageous but not necessary
  • Experience working in a research environment and following clinical trial protocols would be advantageous

Is this the role for you?

At Clerkenwell Health, our core values are Compassion, Collaboration, Innovation, and Integrity. If you\’re excited about contributing to pioneering psychedelic and mental health research, and you’re passionate about delivering safe, ethical, and evidence-based therapy, we’d love to hear from you.
