We're looking for a Part‑Time Clinical Trial Health Care Assistant to join our Doncaster clinical research team, working 16‑24 hours per week. You’ll play an important role in delivering high‑quality care to trial participants across Phase 1, 2 and 3 studies, supporting clinical operations as and when needed. This role is ideal for someone looking for part‑time working arrangements whilst gaining hands‑on experience in cutting‑edge clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical trial procedures such as phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs and cannulation
- Support the preparation, planning and delivery of daily study activities
- Manage clinical documentation including CRFs, regulatory files and logs
- Coordinate volunteer visit schedules and assist with participant care
- Process and package biological specimens according to study protocols
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP and regulatory standards
- Support clinical trial set‑up, site initiation and study close‑out activities
- Uphold patient wellbeing and safety throughout study participation
- Participate in stock control, equipment calibration and administrative duties
- Undertake required training provided by Clerkenwell and trial sponsors
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- Previous experience in a healthcare or research setting
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs in English and Maths)
- Diploma or qualifications within Health & Social Care
- Availability to work 16‑24 hours per week
- Experience working in a laboratory including spinning and processing blood samples is desirable
- Phlebotomy experience would be advantageous
