About Cleo
At Cleo, we’re not just building another fintech app. We’re embarking on a mission to fundamentally change humanity’s relationship with money. Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of background or income, has access to a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in their pocket. That’s the future we’re creating.
About The Company
Cleo is a profitable, fast‑growing unicorn with over $300 million in ARR and >2x year‑over‑year growth. We have an exceptionally high bar for talent and are looking for individuals who are at the top of their field and embody our culture of collaboration and positive impact.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Google Ads Manager to lead our Google mobile growth channel across App Campaigns (UAC), Demand Gen, Search, YouTube, and Performance Max. This hands‑on growth marketing role owns the Google strategy, executes campaigns, runs rigorous tests, measures incrementality, and manages significant budgets. You’ll partner closely with Creative, Analytics, Product, and Growth teams to maximize Google’s impact on user acquisition and activation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full‑funnel Google mobile acquisition channel: campaign structure, signal strategy, budget allocation, and optimisation.
- Manage large‑scale budgets across Google platforms, allocating spend efficiently to maximise incremental growth and long‑term LTV.
- Develop and run rigorous incrementality testing frameworks (geo hold‑outs, lift analysis, attribution benchmark).
- Optimise toward post‑install events and value‑based bidding to ensure signal quality and long‑term profitability.
- Drive experimentation across creative, bidding, audience signals, event optimisation, and emerging Google features.
- Monitor and analyse performance depth‑wise: cohort behaviour, retention, LTV impact, contribution margin, incremental value.
- Partner on attribution frameworks, MMP measurement, audience strategy, and creative testing.
- Establish an operating rhythm: dashboards, weekly/monthly deep dives, experiment planning, and performance reviews.
- Continuously improve our Google acquisition operating model, testing frameworks, best practices, tooling, and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years hands‑on paid acquisition experience, with significant exposure to Google Ads in a mobile/app‑first environment.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale paid budgets and delivering measurable impact at scale.
- Experience building and scaling mid‑funnel and retargeting campaigns on Google that drive incremental conversions.
- Strong background in designing and interpreting incrementality or lift studies.
- Deep expertise in Google’s mobile ecosystem: UAC, value‑based bidding, Demand Gen, Search, Performance Max, audience signals, automation, and privacy/SKAN impacts.
- Solid understanding of mobile attribution and MMP platforms (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and handling platform‑reported vs third‑party discrepancies.
- Analytical mindset: large dataset analysis, funnel performance, cohort trends, LTV dynamics; experience with SQL or BI tools preferred.
- Test‑and‑learn operator: structured experimentation, rapid iteration, scalable wins.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment, prioritising experiments and adapting quickly.
- (Optional) Experience in fintech, subscription, or consumer app environments where paid acquisition is key.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary + equity; bi‑annual reviews aligned to quarterly OKR cycles.
- Fast‑growing tech startup environment backed by top VC firms.
- Clear progression plan with leadership support.
- Flexibility and support for work‑life balance.
- Globally distributed team with hybrid options for London and remote working elsewhere; travel costs covered for occasional onsite visits.
- Company‑wide performance reviews every 6 months.
- Generous pay increases for high performers.
- Equity top‑ups for promoted team members.
- 25 days annual leave + public holidays (additional day per year of service up to 30 days).
- 6% employer‑matched pension (UK).
- Private medical insurance, dental cover, and life assurance.
- Enhanced parental leave.
- 1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years at Cleo.
- Regular socials and activities.
- Paid OpenAI subscription.
- Online mental health support.
- Workplace nursery scheme.
Compensation Range
United Kingdom: up to £95k gross annually. Final compensation determined based on experience.
