About The Role
Weâre hiring a Senior Performance Marketing Designer to elevate how Cleo shows up across paid channels, with a focus on owning and scaling the motion side of our performance creative. This role blends visual design, motion, and a deep understanding of growth to produce scrollâstopping, highâperforming animated ads that set a new standard for Cleo. Youâll lead how motion shows up across our paid channels, from concept through to polished execution, and develop a scalable approach to animated performance assets. Working closely with growth, brand, and product teams, youâll blend creativity with data to iterate fast, learn what works, and continually raise the bar. Youâll collaborate closely with growth, brand, and product teamsâcombining data, insight, and creativity to push what performance design can be. And youâll help us explore how AI can support faster iteration, smarter testing, and more ambitious ideas.
Key Responsibilities
Define and evolve how Cleo looks and feels across performance channels, with a strong focus on motion.
Concept, design, and deliver dataâinformed ad creative across paid channelsâfrom storyboarding to delivery.
Use metrics, insights, and user research to inform your decisionâmaking. Partner with growth to understand whatâs working, why, and how we can iterate or scale.
Champion high design standards across all performance marketing output, making sure our ads feel as considered and crafted as any brand work.
Work with the growth art director to develop and maintain growth design guidelines, patterns, and templates that support fast testing and iteration.
Explore how AI can support faster iteration, smarter testing, and more ambitious ideas.
Partner with marketers, growth teams, and product stakeholders to ensure performance creative aligns with campaign goals, product positioning, and business objectives.
What Weâre Looking For
Weâre looking for a Senior level designer with strong experience in growth or performance environments. Someone who can think strategically about the funnel, but also roll up their sleeves and build highâquality assets, fast. Specifically:
Your work shows exceptional craft across both motion and graphic designâwith strong examples of ads, campaigns, and marketingâled creative.
Youâve worked in or closely with growth/performance marketing teams and understand how creative, media, and testing work together.
Youâre comfortable using performance data and insights to inform your decisions, while still pushing for brave, interesting creative.
Strong skills in After Effects and Figma, plus a solid grasp of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and designing for digital environments.
You can zoom out beyond individual assets to think in systems, campaigns, and how your work contributes to wider Cleo business objectives.
You notice the details others miss and care about consistency and craft, even when moving quickly in a testâandâlearn environment.
