We have an exceptionally high bar for talent, seeking individuals who are not only at the top of their field but also embody our culture of collaboration and positive impact.

About the Role

We are hiring for multiple Technical Product roles across a few of our key pillars. You will be very familiar with systems thinking and how technical decisions can impact the users directly. As a Lead Product Manager, you'll work closely with a cross-functional squad of engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts and writers on an area focused around building our understanding of user data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the product strategy for Cleo's payments experiences
  • Collaborating closely with ML engineers, data scientists and analysts to launch key new products with a global focus
  • Defining and tracking success metrics related to customer engagement, retention, and financial well-being
  • Prioritising high-impact opportunities and ruthlessly focus your squad on what matters most
  • Translating complex data capabilities (e.g. LLMs and ML models) into intuitive user experiences
  • Ensuring your squad is aligned and involved in product direction and key decisions
  • Continuously iterating on the product based on user insights, data, and testing outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive product management experience, building highly technical products
  • Experience working with machine learning modelling, credit risk or data science-driven features
  • Proficiency in systems thinking — able to work directly with developers and tech leads on a daily basis
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to focus your team on impactful work
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style with a track record of empowering cross-functional teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders
  • Creativity in approaching product challenges and rethinking how people manage their finances
  • High energy and ownership mindset with a focus on driving measurable outcomes
  • Passion for building tools that improve users' financial lives through engaging, meaningful conversations

What you get for your hard work

  • A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi-annual reviews, aligned to our quarterly OKR planning cycles.
  • Work at one of the fastest-growing tech startups, backed by top VC firms, Balderton & EQT Ventures
  • A clear progression plan. We want you to keep growing—trying new things, leading others, challenging the status quo and owning your impact, with our full support.
  • Flexibility. We support balance to do your best work.
  • Global distribution: we're a globally distributed team. If you live in London, we have a hybrid option; if outside London, we encourage occasional in-person collaboration and will cover travel costs.

Other Benefits

  • Company-wide performance reviews every 6 months
  • Generous pay increases for high-performing team members
  • Equity top-ups for team members getting promoted
  • 25 days annual leave + public holidays (+1 day per year up to 30)
  • 6% employer-matched pension in the UK
  • Private medical insurance, dental cover, and life assurance
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • 1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years at Cleo
  • Regular socials and activities, online and in-person
  • OpenAI subscription coverage
  • Online mental health support via Spill
  • Workplace nursery scheme
  • And many more

Welcoming Everyone

We strongly encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. If there's anything we can do to accommodate your specific situation, please let us know.
