About Cleo. At Cleo, we are building a fintech app with a mission to change humanity's relationship with money. We aim to provide a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in people's pockets that is accessible to everyone, regardless of background or income.
About the company: Cleo is a profitable, fast-growing unicorn with over $200 million in ARR and strong year-over-year growth. We seek individuals who are top in their field and who embody a culture of collaboration and positive impact. If you enjoy tackling complex challenges and want to shape something transformative, consider joining us as we scale.
About The Role: We’re looking for a sharp, strategic Growth Lead to own and accelerate the next phase of Cleo’s growth. Sitting at the intersection of product, data, and marketing, you’ll use experimentation, conversion optimization, and user insights to turn Cleo’s product and marketing funnels into high-performing growth engines. This role focuses on the growth pillar: driving how users discover, try, and activate Cleo’s core experiences, and shaping the long-term growth roadmap to unlock new revenue and unit economics opportunities. You’ll partner with PMs, engineers, analysts, and marketers to identify the biggest levers for growth, prioritise ruthlessly, and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Growth’s discovery roadmap: define and prioritise initiatives that move key business metrics such as signups, activation, conversion, and monetisation beyond current scope.
- Lead experimentation: run A/B tests and rapid experiments across acquisition, onboarding, and conversion flows to unlock step-change improvements.
- Identify and size opportunities: use data and research to uncover bottlenecks, map user journeys, and quantify the impact of potential solutions.
- Drive cross-functional execution: work with engineering, product, and marketing to deliver growth initiatives end-to-end, from idea to impact.
- Optimise conversion flows: improve how users move through the funnel from awareness and signup through activation and first value, with a sharp focus on what design drives conversion.
- Shape long-term growth strategy: influence product and platform decisions that expand reach, user base, and monetisation over time.
- Champion data-informed decision making: define success metrics, instrument experiments, and translate results into actionable insights.
- Collaborate across the growth ecosystem: partner with performance marketing, lifecycle, and brand to ensure a consistent and compounding growth strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Impact-focused mindset with a bias for outcomes over process.
- Structured problem-solver who can balance data, intuition, and speed.
- 5+ years of experience in growth, product, or performance marketing, ideally in a fast-paced, product-led tech company.
- Deeply analytical with comfort querying data in SQL and using experimentation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of growth loops, funnel optimisation, and conversion mechanics.
- Excellent communicator who can drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strategic thinker who can balance long-term growth bets with today’s experiments.
- Experience influencing roadmaps and resourcing decisions based on growth opportunities.
- Bias for action and love for fast iteration.
What You Get:
- A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi-annual reviews, aligned to quarterly OKR planning cycles.
- Work at one of the fastest-growing tech startups, backed by Balderton & EQT Ventures.
- A clear progression plan with support to grow, lead others, challenge the status quo, and own your impact.
- Flexibility and balanced work environment to maintain health and performance.
- Global distribution with optional hybrid in London or travel-supported remote work for other locations.
Other Benefits:
- Company-wide performance reviews every 6 months
- Generous pay increases for high-performing team members
- Equity top-ups for promotions
- 25 days annual leave + public holidays, with incremental increases
- 6% employer-matched pension in the UK
- Private Medical Insurance, dental cover, and life assurance
- Enhanced parental leave
- 1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years
- Regular socials and activities, online and in-person
- OpenAI subscription support
- Online mental health support via Spill
- Workplace Nursery Scheme
- And many more
