About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate, patient-focused individuals with a calm and professional approach to join IC24 as NHS 111 Health Advisors. When someone calls 111, you’ll be the first voice they hear. Using the NHS Pathways system, you’ll assess their needs and provide safe, non-clinical advice. The calls you take can range from simple prescription requests to helping someone in emotional distress. You’ll need to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet and record detailed notes on the system quickly and accurately.
We proactively encourage and support our Health Advisors to progress through the ranks as a Non-Clinical Coach, Service Manager or Team Manager where possible. We also offer development opportunities through our nationally recognised patient service qualification programme, Aspire to Excellence.
Dear candidates, if you’re a good listener, can stay composed in challenging situations and want to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Get
- Fully paid accredited training
- Hourly rate of £12.75 plus enhancements, increasing after the probation period

- Access to Blue Light Card and other NHS Discount Schemes
- Advanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave after 1 year’s service
- Opportunity to join the NHS Pension Scheme
- Additional annual leave based on length of service
- Free 24/7 independent counselling service
- Free membership to our reward and discount platform
What we’re looking for
- Excellent communication and listening skills with a calm and empathetic approach
- Strong IT skills and confidence using multiple systems while speaking with patients
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working night shifts and supporting patients during out-of-hours periods
- Team player with a proactive and professional attitude
- Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially and accurately
- Previous customer service, call handling or healthcare experience is beneficial, but not essential
- A genuine passion for helping people and making a difference
