We work with major manufacturers including Schneider, Rolec, EVBox, Alfen, Tritium, and ABB, supporting commercial, public sector, and fleet projects nationwide. We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer (EV Infrastructure – Installation & Commissioning) to join our national installation team. You will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and testing EV charging systems across the UK, ensuring high-quality, safe, and compliant installations every time. This is a permanent role with paid travel and accommodation. You will typically work away from Monday to Friday, with all hotels, meals, and expenses covered. It is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys travel, and wants to earn well while supporting the transition to electric mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and test EV charge points (AC and DC)
  • Carry out inspection, testing, and certification to BS7671 standards
  • Install and test network/data cabling where required
  • Complete all documentation accurately and on time
  • Conduct risk assessments and comply with Health & Safety and CDM regulations
  • Communicate clearly with clients and Clenergy EV's internal teams
  • Support the onboarding of chargers onto the Clenergy EV management platform

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • ECS or JIB Gold Card holder
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 or Inspection & Testing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in commercial or industrial installation work
  • Willing and able to work away from home Monday to Friday
  • Professional, tidy approach with good communication skills

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds EV Charge Point Installation
  • Experience with SWA, CT clamps, tray and cable containment
  • Understanding of data cabling and basic network setup

Pay & Benefits

£22/hour basic (40 hours/week) Overtime paid at time and a half Working away days gain an extra hour Typical earnings £48k–£55k OTE Company van and fuel card 30 days paid holiday.
