Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers to ensure proper tile adhesion.
Measure and mark layout lines according to schematics and project specifications to guarantee accurate tile placement.
Cut tiles precisely using hand tools or power tools to fit around obstacles, edges, or irregular spaces.
Lay tiles on walls and floors, ensuring alignment and levelness for a professional finish.
Grout, seal, and finish tiled surfaces to enhance durability and aesthetic appeal.
Maintain a clean workspace by clearing debris and ensuring all tools are stored safely after use.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including the proper handling of tools and materials.
Experience
- Proven experience in tiling, preferably with residential or commercial projects.
- Construction experience is highly desirable, with knowledge of building processes and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, cutters, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or blueprints to guide installation work.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions accurately and work independently or as part of a team.
