Clements Young is a well-established recruitment business specialising in the construction and engineering sectors, with a strong reputation across Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), construction trades and technical professionals. We work with Tier 1 contractors, specialist subcontractors and major projects across the UK, supplying skilled labour into highly regulated and fast-paced environments.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our Lincoln office with the appointment of an experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant or Senior Consultant.
Role Overview
This is a full 360 recruitment role responsible for developing client relationships, winning new business and delivering high-quality recruitment solutions across the M&E and/or Construction markets. The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development and client management through to candidate sourcing, placement and aftercare. This role suits an ambitious recruiter who wants autonomy, progression and the opportunity to build a strong desk within a respected brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Client Management
- Develop and grow new and existing client relationships within the M&E / Construction sector
- Win new business through proactive sales, networking and account development
- Manage client expectations around rates, availability and compliance
- Build long-term partnerships based on delivery, trust and sector knowledge
- Source, screen and place candidates across trades, technical or professional roles
- Manage the full recruitment process from vacancy briefing through to placement
- Conduct candidate interviews and assessments
- Negotiate pay rates, charge rates and terms
- Deliver against agreed targets and KPIs
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates
- Develop a clear understanding of local and regional labour markets
- Maintain compliance with all relevant employment and industry regulations
- Must have demonstrated consistent billing over a sustained period of time
- Contribute to desk strategy and office growth
- Lead key client accounts and higher-value opportunities
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in M&E or Construction recruitment
- Experience working in a 360 recruitment role
- Strong sales, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a fast-paced desk with multiple live requirements
- Confident communicator with both clients and candidates
