About the Opportunity

Clements Young are working with one of the world s leading automation and materials handling specialists to recruit a Commercial Manager to join their Heathrow-based project delivery team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager who thrives in fast-paced, technically complex environments particularly within Airport, M&E or Automation projects.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for full commercial control across major multi-million-pound airport and parcel automation projects. You ll take ownership for contract management, procurement, cost control and project financial administration from pre-contract through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing project cost control, change control, and risk mitigation
• Leading commercial strategy and protecting project profitability
• Managing contract administration for both client and subcontractor agreements
• Producing accurate cost forecasts, cashflows and applications for payment
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
• Supporting and mentoring the wider commercial team to drive best practice
• Ensuring compliance with NEC3, NEC4, MF/1 and similar contract forms

About You

We re looking for a proactive and highly organised Commercial Manager who can combine technical know-how with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager delivering complex engineering or automation projects (GBP10m+ revenue)
• Experience working within airport environments ideally Heathrow
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / MF1 contract forms
• Demonstrable experience in change management, cost forecasting and contract negotiation
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project programmes / delay analysis
• Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors throughout the full project lifecycle
• Membership of RICS / CIOB / ACostE preferred
