Clements Young Ltd is currently recruiting for a reliable 3.5 Tonne Driver on behalf of our client based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad-hoc driving work. Shifts are available on various days throughout the week, with early morning starts between 3:00am and 4:00am depending on the day's delivery schedule.
Duties will include:
- Completing local deliveries across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex
- Loading and unloading the vehicle when required
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Following delivery routes using the company sat nav
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service
- Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable
- Following all road traffic legislation and health safety procedures
What we're looking for:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous 3.5 tonne driving experience is desirable
- Good knowledge of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex is beneficial
- Reliable, flexible and punctual
- Comfortable with 3:00am–4:00am starts
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good attention to detail
- Physically fit, as some loading and unloading may be required
Pay: £14.24 per hour (PAYE Advanced – includes rolled-up holiday pay)
Working Hours: Ad-Hoc shifts. Shifts can fall on any day of the week, including weekends. Early starts between 3:00am and 4:00am depending on the day's loads. Ongoing opportunities with the potential for regular work.
