Cake Finisher
Location: Near Melton Constable
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Temp - Perm
Our client, based near Melton Constable, is a modern and growing online cake business producing a fantastic range of cakes for customers across the UK through their website and network of wholesalers.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and detail-focused Food Production Operative (Non-Meat) to join their team.
The Role
As a Food Production Operative (Non-Meat)r, you will be responsible for filling and finishing a variety of cakes that have been prepared by the bakery team. You will also be involved in applying fondant icing to personalised cake orders and operating a flow-wrap machine to securely package the cakes and maintain their freshness.
Duties will include:
- Filling cakes with buttercream and completing the finishing process.
- Decorating and finishing a variety of cakes to a high standard.
- Applying fondant icing to personalised cake orders.
- Operating a flow-wrap machine to package finished cakes.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure cakes meet the required standards.
- Working at speed while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Keeping work areas and equipment clean and organised.
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and company procedures.
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
About You
The successful candidate will have excellent hand speed, good manual dexterity and exceptional attention to detail. You will need to be able to work efficiently in a busy production environment while maintaining a consistently high standard of finish.
Previous experience in a bakery, food production, factory or catering environment is essential.
