We are seeking an inspiring, strategic, and visionary Assistant Headteacher in charge of Learning Culture to join Cleeve Park School’s senior leadership team starting September 2026. This pivotal role will shape the academic character of our 11‑18 school and drive continuous improvement.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be a champion of high expectations, fostering an environment where curiosity thrives and every student is empowered to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and embed a transformative learning culture that balances traditional values with forward‑thinking practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and review strategies that enhance the learning culture across the school.
- Lead and support teachers in adopting innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set and monitor academic targets.
- Promote professional development and CPD opportunities for staff.
- Encourage and mentor existing and new teachers, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all students through robust policies and training.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record of leadership in an educational setting.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to inspire staff and students.
- Understanding of learning cultures and evidence‑based educational practices.
- Experience managing or mentoring teachers is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
