Wakefield Full-Time On-site
C

Location: Wakefield, UK

Department: Creative

Reports to: Head of Creative

We are looking for a Midweight Graphic Designer to join our growing creative team and play a key role in bringing the Cleens world to life. This is a hands on role for a designer with strong visual taste, excellent attention to detail and a genuine interest in fashion, culture and contemporary design.

ABOUT CLEENS

Cleens is a premium footwear and apparel brand built around a distinct point of view, combining contemporary fashion, culture and product. We are building a brand that goes beyond simply selling products. Our ambition is to create a recognisable visual world across every touchpoint, from campaign content to digital, social and paid media.

THE ROLE

As Midweight Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Head of Creative and wider marketing team to deliver high quality creative. You will support the development of campaign concepts from initial idea through to rollout, translating creative direction into considered, engaging graphic design across our DTC channels. A key part of the role will be supporting paid advertising outputs, formulating and adapting creative for different formats, platforms and audiences while maintaining a strong and consistent brand identity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and adapt creative output across the brand's website, social and wider DTC channels.
  • Create digital assets for homepage, landing pages, promotional moments and product launches.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of typography, layout, composition, image treatment and visual hierarchy.
  • Help build and maintain a library of design assets and templates.
  • Work closely with the Head of Creative, Marketing, Social and wider team to deliver creative projects.
  • Manage multiple briefs and deadlines simultaneously in a fast moving environment.
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve design output and ways of working.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, product launches and wider brand initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a designer with strong craft, taste and attention to detail who understands how design can build a premium brand. You'll be comfortable working across both brand and performance focused creative, knowing when to protect the original creative idea and when to adapt it for a specific channel. You are curious about fashion, culture, music, art and contemporary design, with a strong awareness of what is happening within the wider creative landscape.

You’ll also be:

  • Experienced working within fashion, footwear, retail, DTC or consumer brands.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Strong across typography, layout, composition and image treatment.
  • Experienced creating work for social, web and digital channels.
  • Comfortable creating and adapting creative for paid social and digital advertising.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple briefs and competing deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with a strong understanding of production and artwork.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a wider creative team.
  • Able to bring your own perspective and ideas to the creative process.

DESIRABLE

  • 2–3+ years' experience working within a fashion led brand.
  • Experience creating paid social / performance creative.
  • Motion design or After Effects experience (preferred, not essential).
  • Experience working across e-commerce and DTC platforms.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • You consistently produce high quality, considered design that feels unmistakably Cleens.
  • Campaign creative is translated seamlessly across web, social, paid media and wider DTC touch points.
  • Paid advertising outputs feel creative and brand led, rather than purely performance driven.
  • You contribute ideas and design thinking, rather than simply executing briefs.
  • You help maintain a consistent and evolving visual language across the brand.
  • You manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craft.
