About us: With a fleet of over 2,200 items of plant and equipment and employing over 180 staff, we are the largest compaction and surface dressing hire Company in the UK and also provide a general purpose fleet of compact and mid range sized construction and materials handling equipment. We have a national network of 9 Depots (Glasgow, Darlington, Stoke, Chesterfield, Ludlow, Corby, Andover, Dartford and Newton Abbot) and have operated for over 60 years which is a testament to our culture of ‘Committed to Service in Everything We Do’.
The Role: We have a vacancy for a Plant Administrator based at our Head Office in Chesterfield (S41 0JW). Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week). You are responsible for providing an administrative service to the Plant and Transport Department. Proactively oversee external inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Key Duties:
- Generation, review and management of key operational Plant and Transport related reports and information.
- Manage and monitor the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Telematics systems and associated Diagnostic Equipment communicating with Depots and the Plant and Transport Manager and the OEM as required.
- Management of Security / Tracking Devices to ensure Company processes are followed liaising with Depots and OEM’s as required.
- Management and administration of all external Insurance inspections to ensure that all legal obligations are adhered to.
Candidate Profile: Candidates are expected to have excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills which are necessary to ensure efficient and high standards of service. Experience of Microsoft Office is essential as well as the ability to interrogate, populate and extract information from OEM database/portals. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of proficiency and experience in duties similar to the above in relation to Plant and Transport.
