About us: With a fleet of over 2,200 items of plant and equipment and employing over 180 staff, we are the largest compaction and surface dressing hire Company in the UK and also provide a general purpose fleet of compact and mid range sized construction and materials handling equipment. We have a national network of 9 Depots (Glasgow, Darlington, Stoke, Chesterfield, Ludlow, Corby, Andover, Dartford and Newton Abbot) and have operated for over 60 years which is a testament to our culture of ‘Committed to Service in Everything We Do’.

The Role: We have a vacancy for an Accounts Administrator based at our Head Office in Chesterfield (S41 0JW). Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week). You are responsible for administrating the Company’s assets in relation to servicing, taxation and acquisition, vehicle specification and other management information on a timely basis.

Key Duties:

  • Administering the Company’s service schedule as well as key customer service reports.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register taking into account addition, disposals and transfers, depreciation rates and mileages, Asset and Disposal Forms.
  • Comply with legislation regarding road fund licensing, MOT’s and insurance including updating the online database in relation to plant and vehicles.
  • Various Customer and Management Reports.

Candidate Profile: Candidates are expected to have excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills which are necessary to ensure efficient and high standards of service. Experience of Microsoft Office is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good level of proficiency and experience in duties similar to the above.
