Our platform allows companies to focus on what matters most: growing their business. With over 1,000 customers globally, we are recognized as a leader in the SaaS management space.
The Role
As the Head of Finance, you will be a strategic partner to our CEO and Founder, holding accountability for the global finance function. You will navigate the complexities of a multi-jurisdictional SaaS business while keeping our financial engine lean and high-performing. Your goal is to ensure our financial decisions are backed by rigorous modeling, real-time data and a deep understanding of the business. This role can be based out of either our London or Barcelona office.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Financial Planning and Modeling: Lead the annual budgeting process and maintain a rolling long-range forecast. You will be responsible for our financial roadmap, ensuring we have the runway and resources to hit our growth targets.
- International Operations and Compliance: Manage the financial operations of our entities in the UK, US and EEA. This includes overseeing transfer pricing, international tax compliance and multi-currency reporting.
- Company Metrics and Analytics: Own the key metrics for the business and translate the numbers into actionable insights for the leadership team.
- Fundraising and Investor Relations: Support the Founders in future funding rounds by preparing data rooms, managing due diligence and maintaining clear and transparent communication with our current cap table.
- Financial Governance and Reporting: Lead the preparation of board packs and investor reporting, ensuring our financial narrative is clear, accurate, and aligned with our strategic goals.
- Operations and Compliance: Manage an "audit-ready" global finance function by overseeing the month-end close, effective reconciliation processes, annual accounts, audit requests, and the preparation of going-concern documentation and strategic reports.
- Business Intelligence: Build out and own the internal KPI engine, translating SaaS and payment metrics into actionable insights for the founders.
- Risk and Credit Strategy: Define and oversee the credit underwriting framework, ensuring our risk profile supports sustainable growth.
Who You Are
We are looking for a high-performance finance leader who has seen what good looks like at 100+ people and knows how to get us there. You have 8+ years of experience, ideally with a background in a high-growth SaaS or Fintech environment. You are curious about the world, have a network of other SaaS or Fintech finance leaders, and are excited to bring insights into the organisation. You can jump from high level to granular detail without losing a beat.
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Are a SaaS Metric Expert: You have a deep understanding of SaaS unit economics and the mechanics of the payment industry, including interchange revenue and banking provider costs.
- Are a Master of Financial Architecture: You can build complex, dynamic financial models from a blank sheet of paper that serve as the blueprint for our global strategy.
- Are an Automation Champion: You proactively leverage AI to automate repetitive financial tasks to keep the finance function lean and efficient.
- Are Strategically Minded: You possess the commercial acumen to prioritize the financial levers that matter most at our stage, ensuring the finance function is aligned with our overall global strategy.
- Value Rigor: You set the gold standard for financial rigor, ensuring every aspect of accounting, financing, and compliance is "audit-ready" and scalable.
- Are a Cledara Champion: You have ideally worked within an organization that has implemented Cledara, giving you first-hand experience of the value we bring to our customers.
We offer a competitive salary based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package:
- Health and Wellness: Access to a Private Medical Insurance plan and a corporate ClassPass account.
- Professional Growth: A £/€500 annual training budget to support your ongoing learning and development.
- Work Environment: A vibrant office space featuring outdoor terraces, showers, and secure bike storage. This role will involve a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the office, to foster collaboration and team culture.
- Tech: We will provide the tools you need to succeed, including an Apple MacBook.
- Culture and Food: Regular company offsites, social outings, and complimentary fruit, snacks, and team lunches.
- Location Specific Perks: London: A fully equipped gym within the office, as well as access to all gyms across the Fora office network. Barcelona: A €100 per month food allowance to support your team lunches and daily sustenance.
