Clearway Disposals Belfast is seeking reliable and hardworking General Operatives to join our recycling and waste management team. This role involves working within a busy scrap metal and recycling environment, assisting with the sorting and processing of mixed recyclable materials across a number of waste stream lines. The successful candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working on picking lines sorting mixed recyclable scrap materials
  • Identifying and separating recyclable waste streams correctly
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • General housekeeping duties throughout the site
  • Following all health and safety procedures
  • Assisting with other operational duties as required

Requirements

  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour duties
  • Previous experience in recycling, waste management, or industrial environments is desirable but not essential
  • Good work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Awareness of health and safety practices

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Overtime Rates

  • Monday to Thursday evenings (up to 7:00pm): Paid at 1.5x hourly rate
  • Saturday work: Paid at time and a half
  • Sunday work: Paid at double time
