We're looking for a Protection Business Support Executive to join our Employed Advisory Team (EAT), providing full back-office support to our in-house Protection Specialists.
The role is key to maintaining compliance, managing client documentation, and drafting the Protection Specialists' advice recommendations.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Contact clients to book appointments with the advisers
- Become competent and proficient in the use of support systems such as Salesforce, i Business, Aptus, IRESS and third- party protection provider portals
- Assist the advisers with preparing for meetings
- Prepare full and bespoke client CFRs via Salesforce and supporting documentation to assist with the production of suitability letters
- Draft compliant and 'suitable' suitability reports via Aptus
- Assist the Protection Specialist’s with research on insurance providers for clients
- Liaise with insurers, underwriters, and other third parties to obtain updates and resolve queries
- Follow up with clients' GP surgeries to ensure medical reports are returned to the provider
- Actively manage and monitor a pipeline of business and tasks
- Update the adviser on case progress and highlight any issues or delays
- Ensure all administrative tasks comply with FCA regulations, company policies and processes
- Support the advisers with file checking and preparing for compliance reviews
- Keep templates, forms, and internal documents up to date
- Maintain a strong understanding of FCA compliance and client confidentiality standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of one year's experience within the insurance, protection or mortgage industry — essential
- Knowledge of life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection policies — desirable
- Experience drafting protection suitability reports — desirable
- Good GCSE results (or equivalent) — essential; good A-Level results and study in a related field (e. g. Economics, Finance, Accounting) — desirable
- Willingness to learn the full scope of the role; comfortable delivering in fast-paced environments — essential
- Highly professional and well presented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change — essential
- Scrupulous attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when under pressure — essential
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal — essential
- Good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines — essential
- Able to work independently with a disciplined approach; proficient in Microsoft Office — essential
- Comfortable working in a highly confidential and discreet environment, complying with FCA/SJP/CWM regulatory processes — essential
