Resolve urgent and critical incidents on their AWS hosted estate. Ensure the infrastructure is secure, resilient, and highly available, following agreed processes. Provide hands-on support for ongoing operations, problem-solving, implementations, system upgrades, and time-critical operational troubleshooting. Work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, demonstrate leadership, and become established as an approachable subject matter expert.
Key Duties
- Critical situation management for the operation and maintenance of the Hosting and Infrastructure.
- Act as the AWS and cloud infrastructure SME in response to client questions.
- Work with colleagues to ensure strict adherence to the contract and established good practice.
Person Specification
Technical
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, WAF, IAM, Lambda, VPC and more.
- Strong proficiency in the Windows ecosystem, including: Windows Server 22 administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Windows-based workloads hosted in AWS and hybrid environments.
- Proficiency in: Terraform, CloudWatch, PRTG, GitHub Code Management and Actions, WAF.

- UK Government Security Clearance (SC) must be held.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or other relevant AWS certifications, Python and other coding experience would be an advantage.
- Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
